"What Are You Doing with the Stage and Microphone?"
A Prophetic Message to the Youth and Young Leaders of This Generation
Introduction:
The stage and microphone are symbolic. The stage is your moment of visibility, your platform of influence; the microphone is your voice — your authority, your reach, and your message.
Not everyone is called to the stage at the same time. And not every voice is meant to be amplified in every season. Many destroy their future by fighting for what is not yet theirs, or by misusing the opportunity when it finally comes.
This is a clarion call to a generation rising — youths, pastors, teachers, politicians, prophets, influencers, judges, police officers, and leaders. If the spotlight is on you now, what are you doing with your voice? If it is not your time, why are you scrambling for a stage that is not yet prepared for you?
When the stage and microphone are handed to you, it will be too late to start preparing. Preparation in silence determines performance in the spotlight. The stage doesn’t make you; it only reveals what’s inside you. The microphone doesn’t anoint you; it only amplifies what you carry.
The question is how prepared you are — because your future influence, impact, and legacy depend on it.

The Stage Is a Trust, Not a Trophy
Romans 13:1 (KJV)
"For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."
Power, stage, and influence are not personal achievements — they are trusts given by God. They are lent to you for a time, for a purpose, and for a people. Don't make the mistake of thinking you're the center of the story — you are a steward, not a superstar.
Example: Joseph
Joseph waited through betrayal, slavery, and prison for 13 years before his stage came. When he finally stood before Pharaoh, he didn’t talk about his pain or seek revenge. Instead, he spoke with wisdom and purpose, saving nations (Genesis 41:39-44).
Every Microphone Has a Message — What Are You Saying?
Ecclesiastes 3:7 (KJV)
"...a time to keep silence, and a time to speak."
Your microphone (voice, influence, authority) is not for noise — it’s for building lives, restoring hope, correcting wrongs, and pointing people to truth. If all you're doing is criticizing, mocking, or dividing — then you have wasted the microphone God gave you.
Example: Esther
Esther had the ear of the king. She could have used her position for luxury, but instead, she risked her life to speak for her people (Esther 4:14). Her microphone saved a nation.
Your Positioning Affects Generations
Proverbs 29:2 (KJV)
"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."
What you do on your stage affects not just you — it affects your family, your community, and your nation. Leaders who use their time to oppress, abuse, or manipulate will leave behind a generation of bitterness and chaos.
Example: Saul vs. David
King Saul used his microphone and position to pursue jealousy, fear, and control. David, even in his imperfections, sought God’s heart, fought for the people, and led with worship and war (1 Samuel 18-24). Whose legacy are you building?
The Stage Always Shifts — Will You Exit with Honour or Shame?
Daniel 2:21 (KJV)
"And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings..."
No one holds the stage forever. When you abuse your time, the microphone will be taken. The light will turn off. Another will rise.
Example: Nebuchadnezzar
He boasted in his stage. He used his microphone to exalt himself. God humbled him, and for seven years, he lived like a beast (Daniel 4:30-37). When he came back, he used his platform to glorify God.
Youths: Don’t Curse the Fathers — Learn from Their Scars
The rising generation often attacks the previous generation, calling them outdated, weak, or irrelevant. But don’t forget — every phase has its purpose, scope, and time.

"The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be...
You are here because they fought battles you never saw. Honor their scars, learn from their failures, and build on their foundations. Don’t roar before your time — else you may silence your destiny.
Example: Rehoboam
Solomon’s son rejected the counsel of elders and chose the advice of his peers. The result? A divided kingdom (1 Kings 12:6-16). Wisdom doesn’t always wear sneakers.
Final Charge: Watch Your Stage, Watch Your Voice
Don’t fight for what isn’t yours yet.
Don’t waste what is in your hand now.
Don’t use your platform to oppress.
Don’t forget you are accountable.
Reflection Questions you need to answer:
1. If today were your last day on stage, what would be remembered about your voice?
2. What are you using your platform for — building or breaking?
3. Are you preparing for the stage or trying to force your way into it?
4. Do you honor those who held the microphone before you?
Youths, young leaders, hear this:
“Wait for your time, walk in your purpose, and speak with wisdom — the world is watching, and eternity is recording.”
Let your microphone echo truth, not noise.
Let your stage reflect service, not pride.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to wait for my time with humility. When I am given the stage and microphone, help me to use them wisely — for your glory and the good of others. May I not destroy what I am meant to build. May I honor those before me, and prepare the way for those after me. Amen.
