Life on this earth is temporary, fleeting, and fragile. We walk as though we own the world, but in reality, our breath is borrowed, our strength is limited, and our time is running out. What then is the point of pride, greed, or arrogance?
Let’s take a journey beyond the veil of time. Let’s look at the body — your body — just days after death:
3 Days After Death: The nails begin to fall off, no longer attached to the skin they once adorned.
4 Days: The hair begins to decay. That same hair you styled, oiled, dyed, and spent hours grooming is now a mess of rot.
5 Days: The brain — once brilliant and proud — begins to melt vigorously within the skull.
6 Days: The stomach and intestines liquefy, spilling out through the mouth and private parts. Dignity fades with decay.
60 Days: The flesh detaches from the bones. The body becomes acidic. Even the wild animals are repulsed by the stench.
So Much Pride!
So Much Greed!
So Much Anger!
So Much Evil!
For what?
Ask yourself:
Where is your money?
Where is your power and position?
Where is your arrogance?
Where is your beauty and handsomeness now?
Where is your ‘anointing’ without obedience and humility?
Where is your PhD, your political influence, your judicial seat?
Where is your prideful voice that said, “Do you know who I am?”
Where are the cars, the mansions, the fame, the applause of men?
All gone.
All vanished into dust.
All swallowed up in silence.
Life is Brief — Eternity is Forever
> “What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?” – Mark 8:36
We live like kings on earth and forget we are mortals. We fight for positions, manipulate to rise, trample others to shine — but death is the great equalizer. The grave does not respect title, beauty, wealth, or power.
Your only true worth is in Christ.
Your only eternal treasure is righteousness.
The End Is Near
Jesus is coming soon. The signs are clear. The times are evil. And no man knows the hour. What you do today matters forever. Live like a dying man who wants to die well.
Be holy — not because people are watching, but because God is.
Be humble — knowing that pride dies a shameful death.
Forgive — because life is too short to harbor bitterness.
Be generous — because you can't carry your wealth beyond the grave.
Pray and stay ready — because eternity begins in a moment.
Ask Yourself:
Where will I be 80 years from now?
Will my life count for God?
Will I hear “Well done, good and faithful servant” or “Depart from Me, I never knew you”?
> “It is appointed unto man once to die, and after this the judgment.” – Hebrews 9:27
A Final Appeal:
Come closer to God.
Live a holy life.
Repent.
Let go of pride and embrace the cross.
Lay aside vanity and pick up your cross daily.
The end is not far — it is closer than you think.
What you do now echoes in eternity.
