GOD: The Source of All Innovations and Skills
We live in a time where people celebrate innovation, creativity, and skills. People are launching careers, building businesses, creating designs, and developing technology. But few realize that all wisdom, all knowledge, and all skill have one Source—God.
God is not just a spiritual being; He is the original Architect, the first Designer, the Author of all professions, and the Fountain of all knowledge. You cannot become truly exceptional in any field without connecting to the One who holds the blueprint.
Stop claiming credit for God’s glory. Your gifts, talents, and discoveries are just tools in the hand of the Creator. Instead of saying “I am a genius,” say, “I thank God for showing me a small portion of His treasure.”
Exodus 31:2-6 – “See, I have called by name Bezalel... and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship...”
James 1:17 – “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above...”
Proverbs 8:12 – “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.”
Isaiah 28:24-29 – “...His God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.”
1 Corinthians 4:7 – “What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?”
A proud businessman once said, “If not that I am an innovator, many of these people would have been jobless.” But I turned and said, “You are not an innovator, nor an inventor. Stop bragging.”
You are only privileged to discover a segment of the unlimited treasure God already invented. Man does not create from nothing—we only find what has been concealed.
- Proverbs 25:2 – “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.”
Your brain is not a manufacturing plant—it is a receiver. You are not a god, you are a steward.
Only those who follow God's rules, principles, and patterns will be granted access to these deep secrets. Innovation without divine permission is noise without purpose. That’s why many are building towers of Babel today—no heaven access, just brick upon brick of pride.
3 TRUTHS TO REMEMBER:
-
You didn’t invent it—you were given access.
Just as Adam didn’t create Eden, but was placed in it to manage it (Genesis 2:15). -
Pride is the fastest way to be locked out.
Lucifer lost his place because of pride. Innovation without humility ends in demotion. -
God gives treasures to the obedient.
Isaiah 45:3 – “I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places…” That’s reserved for those who walk with Him.
GOD IS THE ORIGINAL CREATOR AND INNOVATOR
- Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning, God created…” Creation itself is innovation.
- He formed man from dust – medical science is still studying what God did in one breath.
- Every profession was first expressed in God:
- He clothed Adam and Eve — Fashion Designer
- He built Eden — Landscape Architect
- He gave Moses the Tabernacle design — Architect/Engineer
- He is called Jehovah Sabaoth (Lord of Hosts) — Commander of Armies
Truth: We don’t invent anything, we only discover what God has already established.
WHY MANY FAIL IN CAREER, MINISTRY, AND BUSINESS
a. Replacing God with Self
- Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart...”
- People follow trends, not God’s will. They rely on their certificates, connections, and confidence, instead of divine counsel.
b. Ignoring Divine Instruction
- Saul lost his throne because he preferred his way over God’s command (1 Samuel 13 & 15).
- Uzzah touched the Ark wrongly and died (2 Samuel 6:6-7) – because he didn't follow divine order.
c. Copying Instead of Downloading
- God gives original patterns, but people fail when they imitate others instead of receiving divine blueprints.
Example:
A man opens a business because it worked for his friend, but he fails. Why? It was never his divine assignment.
GOD GIVES SKILLS TO THOSE WHO WALK WITH HIM
- Exodus 31:2-6 – Bezalel and Oholiab were filled with the Spirit of God for craftsmanship.
- Isaiah 28:26 – Even farmers are taught discretion by God.
Note:
Not all skills are taught in schools — some are imparted in prayer and intimacy with God.
Proverbs 8:12: “I, wisdom… find out knowledge of witty inventions.”
TAPPING INTO GOD’S WEALTH OF INNOVATION
a. Seek God First
- Matthew 6:33 – “Seek ye first the kingdom of God...”
- James 1:5 – “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God...”
b. Maintain Relationship and Obedience
- Luke 5:4-6 – Peter toiled all night, but only caught abundance when he obeyed Jesus' instruction.
c. Walk with the Holy Spirit
- Romans 8:14 – “As many as are led by the Spirit of God…”
d. Build Altars, Not Just Ideas
- Let prayer and intimacy with God be your foundation before launching any career, product, ministry, or decision.
EXAMPLES OF GOD’S INNOVATIVE MIND
1. Noah – Received divine strategy for global disaster (Genesis 6:13-22).
2. Joseph – Created an economic survival system for a nation (Genesis 41).
3. David – Designed instruments, warfare tactics, and worship systems.
4. George Washington Carver – A man of prayer who discovered hundreds of uses for peanuts.
5. Prophet Olulana Babajide - A man who gave all to God and receive in return about 100 powerful songs which are still relevant till today.
CHARGE TO YOUTH AND ADULTS
- Stop chasing career trends—chase God’s truth for your life.
- Your skill without God becomes struggle; your talent without God turns to torment.
- Return to the Source. You were not born to copy; you were born to create through Christ.
CONCLUSION:
Everything begins and ends with God. He alone gives wisdom, direction, and ability. Your career, calling, and creativity are meant to reflect His glory, not your ego. Surrender to Him. Let His Spirit fill your mind and hands.
ALTAR CALL: If you’ve been doing life and work without God, today is the day to reconnect to your Source.
PRAYER POINTS:
- Lord, I surrender my ideas and career to You.
- Fill me with divine wisdom and creativity like Bezalel.
- Open my spirit to download Your pattern for my life.
- Help me never to put myself above Your instructions.
